ITU Department of Industrial Design carries out extensive activities at the national and international levels; through its constructive relationships with local and global companies and institutions. The department conducts studies to transform its knowledge and creative energy into innovative design solutions.

It's one of the prior aims of ITU Department of Industrial Design to collaborate with firms and foundations who have the design and product development in their agenda by means of education, research, and practice. Since 1993, the department has carried out activities, training, and research projects in cooperation with various companies, sectoral associations, and institutions.
